All participants must be fluent in English, as the program will be presented only in English. Participants whose first language is not English must provide a language proficiency certificate and will be interviewed by a member of the Selection Committee.
Participants do not need to have an educational background in bioethics, but they should be able to demonstrate an interest in the issues described in the program. The following are encouraged to apply:

- Low and Middle-Income Country Students and Professionals
Your application must include:
- A resumé
- A brief statement of interest outlining why you are interested in attending the summer school
- A letter of recommendation from a professor, teacher, or an advisor
- Most recent transcript
- Optional: a published paper or an article
- A language proficiency certificate
- Scholarship essay
Participants who are applying for partial scholarships must include a 300-500 word statement describing how they will benefit from attending our program. The winners will be notified in due time.
The DEADLINE to apply for partial scholarship consideration is Nov 1st, 2023. Partial Scholarship applications received after this deadline will be reviewed if additional funds are available.
We encourage participants to also seek financial assistance from their home educational institutions to cover expenses.

Non-US citizens must apply for a visa as soon as they are accepted. Participants are strongly advised to contact the American Embassies in their countries in order to complete visa requirements.

Once applicants are accepted, they must pay the entire registration fee in order to attend the program. Full payment of the program fee is due 10 days after receiving a letter of acceptance.
APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE
There is a non-refundable fee of $20 for the application process. Please submit this fee by clicking DONATE!
Participants are advised to check with their home institutions for information about securing financial assistance or scholarships from their school or outside sources.
Participants who pay and later withdraw from the program are subject to the following refund schedule:
- 75% of the program fee is refunded if withdrawal notification is received before TBD.
- 50% of the program fee is refunded if withdrawal notification is received between TBD.
- After TBD, no refund can be offered.
