Katrina Burns
I am an interdisciplinary researcher and educator. My research is on Occupational health and
Occupational Environmental Epidemiology. I have spent many years working on safety in
academic research laboratories and the direct application in global organizational behavior and
attitudes towards worker safety and safety in research. I am a high school science teacher and I teach biology and
astronomy physics. I have participated in the past BEI summer schools as a participant and an intern and had a wonderful time!!
Bioethics-specific focus/interests: Dual role of military doctors as soldiers in combat, Global worker safety and equity/worker trafficking, Concept of Dignity as a recognized principle of Bioethics, many others.
