Reflections on Generative AI, Bioethics and Health? Threats, Risks, and Opportunities for Humanity

The rapid advancements in generative artificial intelligence (gAI) have rekindled discussions on the intricate relationship between technology and humanity. Current technology ethics have proven inadequate to effectively address the ethical challenges posed by gAI, mainly due to two reasons. Firstly, gAI presents structural differences from traditional technology. Secondly, gAI raises a multitude of ethical dilemmas in diverse sectors simultaneously, including the potential for existential risks to humanity. Consequently, it is imperative to engage in deep reflections and develop novel ethical approaches to tackle the ethical concerns surrounding gAI.
