Who governs AI in medicine? Who owns your health data in an age of surveillance and Big Tech? As science outpaces policy, these aren’t hypotheticals anymore, they’re the questions shaping global bioethics right now.

This December 14–18, the BEI Winter School Online 2026 brings together scholars, clinicians, researchers, and policy professionals from around the world to explore these questions under the theme Bioethics in a New World Order. Over five days, you’ll engage with expert-led lectures, live seminars, film screenings, and collaborative discussions covering AI governance, neurotechnology, gene editing, and the widening gap between the Global North and Global South in bioethics.

Early Registration closes October 16, so now’s the time to apply. Regular Registration remains open through November 27 for anyone applying after that date. A limited number of partial scholarships are also available for applicants from developing economies, with a personal statement required by October 30.

Registration is here.
