Towards a new era in medicine: AI and Bioethics
This presentation explores major bioethical issues emerging from the use of artificial intelligence in medical settings. The session begins with defining the history of artificial intelligence in health care and clinical trials and addresses the possible bioethical issues that will come with the use of AI in the future. The discussions will be on the personhood and ethical agency of an AI and bioethical issues resulting from the use of artificial intelligence in medicine and health services. The discussion will be based on fundamental principles of medical ethics and core values such as confidentiality, privacy, compassion, veracity, and fidelity.
