Registration Now Open: BEI Winter School Online 2026
Bioethics Education International (BEI) is now accepting applications for its 2026 Online Winter School, taking place December 14–18, 2026. Under the theme Bioethics in a New World Order, this five-day online program welcomes individuals from diverse academic, clinical, research, and policy backgrounds to explore the ethical questions surrounding artificial intelligence (AI), medicine, public health, biotechnology, and the life sciences.
As artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and digital health continue to transform society, questions surrounding governance, human rights, health data, neurotechnology, and global equity have never been more important. Through expert-led lectures, interactive seminars, film screenings, and collaborative discussions, participants will engage with these issues while connecting with an international community committed to advancing ethical leadership.
Core Themes We’ll Explore
- Who governs AI in medicine, biosciences, and public health?
- How do we protect human rights in a tech-driven global order?
- What do justice, autonomy, and responsibility mean as science outpaces policy?
- Rules-based international order, or geopolitical change?
- Can bioethics bridge divides between the Global North and Global South?
- How do we regulate neurotechnology, gene editing, and synthetic biology?
- Who owns health data in an age of surveillance and Big Tech?

- Recorded lectures and live Zoom seminars led by BEI faculty and distinguished guest speakers
