A new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that bepirovirsen, an experimental hepatitis B treatment, achieved a functional cure in about 1 in 5 patients with chronic hepatitis B after a 24-week course of therapy. The Phase 3 trials involved more than 1,800 participants across 29 countries and represent one of the most promising advances in hepatitis B treatment in decades. Researchers hope the findings will pave the way for more effective and potentially curative therapies in the future. Read more here.
